How to Use
TOURIST PASMO

On the Train

Simply touch your TOURIST PASMO to the reader on the ticket gate to ride the train.

On the Bus

Simply touch your TOURIST PASMO to the reader inside the bus to pay the fare.

At Shops

TOURIST PASMO can be used for easy electronic payments so there's no need to count out coins.

How to Top Up
TOURIST PASMO

At a Station Ticket Machine

Insert your TOURIST PASMO into the ticket machine and follow the on-screen instructions.

You can top it up with cash. The amount that can be added to your card at one time differs depending on the vendor and machine. Cards cannot be topped up if the balance will exceed ¥20,000.

On the Bus

Let the driver know you want to top up your TOURIST PASMO.

On the bus, it can be topped up in denominations of ¥1,000 (¥1,000 bills only). The amount that can be added to your card at one time differs depending on the shop and machine. Cards cannot be topped up on the bus if the balance will exceed ¥10,001.

At a Store

You can also top up your TOURIST PASMO at convenience stores and some shops.

Ask at the shop staff for details.

Returning Home

Value added to TOURIST PASMO will not be refunded.
Take your card home as a souvenir.

TOURIST PASMO Precautions

  • TOURIST PASMO is valid for 28 days from the date of purchase.
  • When using TOURIST PASMO, please make sure you have your reference paper that lists the following information: the expiration date on the top, your age category (adult or child), the value on the card and information on discount tickets sold by some railway operators (name, area where card is valid, expiration date, purchase price, etc.).
  • Note that TOURIST PASMO cannot be reissued if it is lost.
  • Value added to TOURIST PASMO will not be refunded due to customer circumstances, such as if the card is no longer needed.
    * If for some reason your TOURIST PASMO stops working, please talk to station staff.
  • TOURIST PASMO for children can only be used up to March 31 of the year that the child turns 12.
  • Any TOURIST PASMO being used improperly will be voided and confiscated.
  • PASMO Co., Ltd. bears no responsibility whatsoever for any damages incurred by the user in the course of using TOURIST PASMO.
